Most of the following photographs were sent home with Harry’s letters unless otherwise noted. Harry Lynn served on the USS Arizona, primarily in the Pacific for six years. His friendships extended to sailors and marines from other ships or ports. The photos are identified if possible.

Theodore Frances Venckleer Jr., age thirty-four, son of T F Venckeleer, 2054 N Dearborn Street was officially reported while serving in the United States Navy at Pearl Harbor. His mother, living in Philadelphia, PA, and two sisters also survive. In the telegram naval officials said any further word on the "missing" men would be forwarded to the families promptly."
(Ed note: Assume" Venckleer" is a misspelling of ((Charles A)) VonSprecklesen of Indianapolis who was later identified as one of the 335 survivors) There is no record of a Venckleer at Pearl Harbor. Harry Lynn and George were close friends.

There is a Raymond P Fail listed as a Pearl Harbor survivor aboard the USS St Louis.
The USS St. Louis was moored at the Southeast Docks and was able to fire her anti-aircraft guns, bringing down three Japanese planes. She avoided an attack by a Japanese mini sub and was able to join the USS Detroit and the USS Phoenix at sea. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/

A Grover W Willingham is listed as aboard the USS Wright. The Wright was located in the Hawaiian Islands from 1939 to 1942. The Wright was originally built as a kite tender, but converted to a seaplane tender when kite balloons were no longer used. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USS_Wright
